Geocache Description:

This is the first of the Gruff caches.

Once upon a time the three Billy Goats Gruff,
Were very hungry for grass and stuff,
They eyed the green on the other side of the creek
And so across the bridge they’d have to sneak
But under the bridge that they had to cross
Lurked a nasty troll who thought he was boss.

The first billy goat Gruff whose name was Paul,
Headed across first because he was the bravest of all.
From under the bridge the troll came screaming
“Who is crossing my bridge? I must be dreaming!”
The smallest goat, Paul said “It’s only me,
I’m much too small to eat, can’t you see?
Wait for my sister, she’s bigger and fatter,
She's more of a meal, if it will matter.”
So after some thinking the troll let him flee,
With hopes of a bigger meal coming to him free.

The second billy goat Gruff whose name was Lucy
Headed over the bridge to where the grass was juicy.
“Who’s trotting over my bridge?” growled the troll.
“ It’s just me” said Lucy, “ and I’m out for a stroll”
The troll grinned, “Oh, no you’re not and if I have a hunch
You are about to become my lunch!”
Being a little nervous, Lucy said,
“Wait for my bigger brother, have him instead.”
The troll agreed and let the goat go with a huff,
And waited instead for the bigger Goat Gruff.

The third and biggest goat, whose name was John
Started over the bridge with a big yawn.
From under the bridge the troll jumped out.
“At last, my dinner!” He said with a shout.
John, stamped and snorted and lowered his eyes,
And butted that troll high up into the skies.
The goat joined his siblings for dinner
And when they were done they sure weren’t thinner.

(John Gruff N 43° 50.054 W 079° 05.683)

As for the troll, he hasn’t been seen.
Is he up in a tree or has he floated downstream?
If you are brave enough and find the right path
You might find the troll, just do the math.

Inside each cache is a clue that will help you find the troll (GC3HQTV), if he wants to be found.

Congratulations to AdventureRat for being first to find Paul Gruff!
