Indynat and I were talking at a recent Too Late for Lunch event (at McAlister's Deli in Avon), and started planning an event that could be fun for the kids. Jay Kay El Em joined in and now we are having an event at 5:30pm, Friday May 4th at the Blue Jay Shelter in Avon, at Washington Township Park. Everyone is invited! We are having an outdoor event and hope to have a bunch of kids activities for them to do while we enjoy each other's company and talk about geocaching. A fun event for families and kids and more at Washington Township Park in Avon, Indiana. We are making this a very kid friendly event. If you don't have a kid, you are most welcome to come too, of course!
This is event is one for the kids to come and have fun. We will have some games to play and some food to eat. Come and join us! To make sure we have a spot, we reserved a shelter, and that costs money. If you don't mind making a donation to cover the shelter rental (it's $100 for the shelter, Kathy of Jay Kay El Em reserved it), that would be very helpful. The rental assures that we will have tables and also equipment to cook food at. Bring your own hot dogs and burgers to grill, bring a dish to contribute and/or drinks this is a pitch in.
There's rumor of a pinata too. There will be games to play, fun to be had. Come and join us! Or at least come and watch the adults get hit with the pinata bat!
5:30pm until park closes at 9:30pm. Be there!
The event is in the new section of the park, keep following the road down the hill, under the bridge and beyond. It's a pitch in, please bring your own entree and drinks and a dish to share. Consider this a warm up for the Spring Picnic! If your last name begins with A-R, bring a side dish. If your last name begins with S-Z, bring a dessert. There is a grill available to use at the shelter. There's a Star Wars theme to the event, and we will be having a travel bug release.
If you want to purchase a pre-made travel bug, complete with a star wars character on it, you may do so from Kathy of Jay Kay El Em. Price for each travel bug is $7.00 to pay for the tag and for part of the expenses. If you want to try your luck at winning a travel bug, some will be up for raffle along with some other prizes including geocoins, ammo boxes, and other geocaching swag. If you want to bring your own travel bug tag that you want to compete in the race, bring it along! We have ten total at this time. The race is to Podcacher.com ... kingturtle has told Sonny all about it, maybe our race will make it on the show.
