Geocache Description:

This cache is a nano so please bring your own writing implement. Monkseaton is a village in the borough of North Tyneside, less than a kilometre from the North Sea and 5 km north of the River Tyne. Churchill Playing Fields are located within the vicinity and the North Tyneside International Youth Football Tournament takes place here every year. Bowling greens, tennis courts and a cricket pavilion accompany the park. Monkseaton contains three pubs, all close to each other on the north side of Front Street, the main thoroughfare so after a hard day of geocaching, they are a welcoming place to rest your legs. The cache can be reached with a wheelchair or bike and can be accessed from the Waggonways trail.
