Part of the Fort Smith Parks and Recreation Geocache Series, be sure to check them all out!

This park was deeded to the City of Fort Smith from C.A. Tilles and was formally named “Lewis Tilles Children’s Park” Back in January, 28th 1925. This is our second most popular park. This is due to is location, near many different homes just walking distance for many citizens. Look at all the different tree species in the area, several of the younger trees in this area are donated trees. Fort Smith Parks and Recreation has a tree donation program that for $250 you can donate a tree in honor or memory of someone and have it planted in any park that you wish. Along with that there is a leaf plaque depicted in that park as well representing the donation. The cache is in a Cherry Tree this is a common tree found throughout Arkansas.
