Geocache Description:

It is time for a get-together in the Eastern Bay Of Plenty and you are invited to come to Kawerau and join us for a swim at the free hot pools , barbecue or picnic, and some caching fun.

We are looking forward to placing more "names" to faces and sharing some more caching yarns. Whether the weather be sunny or wet there is a covered over barbecue area so please come along if you can.
The pools open at 10am so you could come any time after that. We plan the event part to be between 4pm and 8pm. There's lots of barbecuing space for you and coffee, tea and juice will be provided.
However the barbecue is only available until 5.30pm.

At the Kawerau Pools (Maurie Kjar Memorial Pools) there are several swimming pools for all ages and a very warm large public spa pool. Lifeguards are always on duty.

Camper vans are very welcome in Kawerau and there is free electricity etc (up to 3 days)at nearby parking .

If you think you're probably coming, could you please log your visit (will attend) so that we can confirm numbers beforehand.

Just bring your togs & towel and barbecue or picnic food for yourselves.
