Nous avons créé cette cache pour marquer le parcours du Sentier de l’Étoile, un projet d’aménagement d’une piste de longue randonnée inspiré du Chemin de Compostelle (Il Camino) axé sur l’écotourisme, la découverte de l’Acadie et s’étirant sur plus de 400 kilomètres le long de la côte est du Nouveau-Brunswick depuis Saint-Joseph-de-Memramcook à Caraquet. En plus de relier diverses communautés (acadiennes, amérindiennes ou anglophones) de la côte est du Nouveau-Brunswick allant de la Baie de Fundy à la Baie-des-Chaleurs, le Sentier de l’Étoile sera disponible pour l’usage local des habitants des communautés qu’il traversera.

We have created this cache to mark Sentier de l’Étoile, a project that will take a few years to be completed in order to develop a long-distance trail inspired by the Way of St. James (Il Camino). It will be running more than 400 kms along the east coast of New Brunswick to promote eco-tourism, the discovery of the province’s Acadian region and will link St-Joseph-de-Memramcook to Caraquet. In addition to connecting communities - Acadian, First Nations and Anglophone - along New Brunswick’s east coast from the Bay of Fundy to the Baie-des-Chaleurs, Sentier de l’Étoile will also be used as a local trail by people in surrounding communities.
