Geocache Description:

Don't know what this vent and the other one just down the road are for, but they needed a cache.

Might not be doable with snow on the ground.

Please park responsibly.

khn has provided the following explanation for the bent vents: Thanks khn!

The bent pipes are vent lines for pipeline sleeves. When a pipeline (water, gas, oil, whatever) traverses an area where a trench cannot be opened up to lay the pipe, a larger pipe sleeve is installed and then the pipeline transporting the product is slid through the larger pipe. The larger sleeve is vented above ground to prevent the buildup of product should a leak in the smaller pipeline occur. The vents are bent over to keep rain/snow from clogging the vent line.

Congratulations to JBraach for FTF!!!
