A geocache hidden along the The Little River Trail in Reed Bingham SP. This 0.9-mile trail introduces you to a River Swamp. Periodically flooded by the Little River, these bottomlands contain plants such as bald cypress, tupelos and spruce pine, that have adapted to wet conditions. This area is the interface between higher and drier uplands and the aquatic river environment. There are extensive boardwalks and two observation points overlooking the river. Look for river otters, spotted turtles and deer.
Park at the trail-head by the Nature Center and you will have a walk of about a half mile round-trip. Enjoy the nice walk along the boardwalk as you seek this well hidden cache. Take one of the brochures that describe the different locations along the trail that are numbered. You might find something else other than the local flora and fauna.
This cache is located on Reed Bingham SP and requires a fee to enter. For further info on Reed Bingham State Park you can go to http://gastateparks.org/ReedBingham
