Kincora School was established in 1918, and in 1919 it was moved to Glidden. A two room brick school house was built on this location in 1920, and in 1927, it was renamed Glidden Consolodated Schol District No. 2726. It served and area of almost 75 square miles, and for many years there were more children in the school than there were people in the town."School vans", which were horse drawn wagons (in summer) or sleighs (in winter) were used to transport out of town students. Drivers were paid 4 cents per mile, but in the 1930's, half of the pay came in the form of "school notes". The Secretary Treasurer of the school board was also the storekeeper, and he would accept these school notes as payment for groceries.
In 1928, two more rooms were added as a second floor of the school house. Four rooms were used until 1945, and again from 1958 to 1964. Mylrea School, a rural school, was moved to be used as a fifth classroom until 1964.
There were 16 students in the last graduating class in 1962, after which Grade 12 students were bussed to Kindersley. By 1966, the school offered classes up to grade 6, and by 1970, grades 1 to 3 only were taught here. The school was closed in 1973.
