You all know Garmin, Suunto make compasses, its founder Tuomas Vohlonen invented the method of having fluid in the compass to assist the movement of the needle in the 1930's. Suunto also now make diving and heartrate watches and Garmin are making similar outdoor fitness GPS assisted gear.
