The Farmington City website says that Hornet Mine has a 40 ft long mine adit here, but all we found was a set of initials carved into the rock dated 1904. The next outcropping above is called Mezzanine Rock and is a very groovy spot to stop for a rest (or do a little planking, LOL!)
On the opposite side of the Canyon is what looks like another adit. maybe that was what they were talking about?
