Geocache Description:

Forest Hill Hiking & Equestrian Trails

a cooperative series by XtremeTC, CoveSC & Dryland Sailor

Whitlock's Tower Loop Section

Forest Hill Hiking and Equestrian Trail is located less than 5km from Bridgetown. It loops through a very extensive woodland and wildlife management area, including two sizable ponds and a spur leading through meadowlands to a 40' lookout tower at Mt. Hope on Rte. 327. The equestrian trails are wide and well cleared, leaving plenty of room for hikers and horses to meet. There are three trailheads for this trail, one at Mt. Hope (N46 21.810, W062 30.017) near "The Tower" GC2D2Z6, one by the equestrian center on Rte. 339, (N46 20.804, W062 30.268), and one on Rte. 339 at Whitlock's Pond, (N46 21.121, W062 31.369). The total trail length is 15km. The hiking on these trails is easy to moderate and at times wet. All caches are between 4' and 6' from the ground and within 20 meters of the trail. Please BYOP!

The Whitlock's Tower Loop section starts off from Whitlock's Tower Road at a monument dedicated to D. J. "Doc" Black and ends up back on Whitlock's Tower Road by four existing caches. It crosses paths with the Streamside Spur and Escaperr's Park & Grab Trail along the way with some beautiful views of Whitlock's Pond. This section covers 1.5km.
