Geocache Description:

This is my very first cache I’ve created and I decided to place it at one of my favourite spots in Sydney. It has THE best views in town IMHO! So don’t forget to bring your camera.

I'm originally from Germany, living in Sydney since 2006. I was lucky to live in Kirribilli for over 4 years, but moved to the Eastern subs.

The name Kirribilli is derived from an Aboriginal word Kiarabilli, which means 'good fishing spot'. Kirribilli is one of Australia’s older suburbs and is on the traditional land of the Cammeraygal people. The first land grants in this area have been granted by the colonial government during the 1790s.

The cache is hidden off the Dr Mary Booth Reserve Foreshore Walkway. It is a plastic box and contains a log book, pen and some goodies to take. There is some space to swap small items.

If you have time there is so much to see and discover in Kirribilli, for example Kirribilli House (the official Sydney residence of the Prime Minister), and the Admiralty House (the official Sydney residence of the Governor-General of Australia). And there are lots of nice little Cafes and Restaurants around.
If you are here on a weekend you might want to check out the Kirribilli Markets: The General Markets are on every 4th Saturday and the Arts&Fashion Markets are on every 2nd Sunday, just next to the Bridge at Milsons Point Station. I can highly recommend to spend some time enjoying the spectacular views of the harbour and across to the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and Sydney CBD.

FTF honours go to Czechroo!!!
