This is a regular cache placed in memory of my husband who loved to fish. I received permission to put this cache here. It is not in the water or on the docks. This cache is filled with lures. Please take a lure and swap it with another lure. There is a prize for FTF.
According to DNR's website: "Deep Creek Lake is unique in that it lies within the Ohio River Drainage west of the eastern continental divide. Ultimately it's waters flow to the Gulf of Mexico via the Mississippi River. Deep Creek Lake is Maryland's largest impoundment at 3900 acres at a full pool elevation of 2462'. The lake is 13 miles long with 69 miles of shoreline and drains a watershed of 140,000 acres." Deep Creek lake is also a wonderful place to fish.
This cache is at a beautiful fishing spot at Deep Creek Lake and placed in memory of my husband who died recently after a 10 1/2 year battle with cancer. He loved to fish and liked to fish off the docks at this location. His brothers love to tell of the time when my husband fell into the lake close to this location.
Enjoy the view, be careful not to fall in, and do a little fishing in memory of your favorite cancer victim.
