Geocache Description:

A cache and dash nano. You will need to bring a pen.

Although the cache is placed close to the road it gets its name from the nearby Womack Wood which I recommend you visit if you have time and dry weather!

The wood is around 300 yards up the footpath north of the cache site. It was planted in 2002 by the owners, the Ringer Family Trust, with the help of the Forestry Commission. It covers 13 acres and is planted mainly with oak, sweet chestnut, ash and beech. It is designed around 3 tumuli thought to be Bronze Age burial mounds dating from 2000 - 1500 BC.

Enjoy the walk!!

Well done to Morty's Marauders - a very sleepy FTF!!!
