Guarding the Simpson’s
Homer
The Simpson’s we are referring to are the two cooling towers at the Byron Nuclear Generating Station. Built by Commonwealth Edison and now owned by Exelon Corp. The generating station went on line in 1985 and 1987 respectively. The two towers each 495 ft. high spew steam 24hr. a day. And the steam looks like the hair of the Simpsons with twinkle eyes. I have placed these hides so you can enjoy the experience and the countryside. Please replace as found or better.

The Simpson’s TV show debuted 20 some years ago and on February 19th aired there 500th episode. This 5 cache series is a tribute to them.
