This one lies right on the river Medway. Overlooking Rochester reach, Rochester castle and cathedral, though it is quite industrial here, showing a small taste of how the River Medway used to be a major industrial hub. This cache overlooks a Russian submarine moored in the river, just along from Strood pier, where I spent a lot of time fishing as a kid.
Just along the river, to the East, is the entrance to the Rochester-Gravesend canal, now long unused. Though the tunnel is used by the railway. This canal obviously giving it's name to the road in which the cache lies.
