This four-mile walk starts in Edmondthorpe and the parking co-ordinates are just a suggestion. Please, wherever you park – do so carefully and courteously as the roads are very narrow. There is a Church Micro and a Post Box cache near the parking co-ordinates.
This four-mile walk incorporates footpaths, a short stretch of the Rutland Round (and includes one of Roger Rabbit’s Rutland Round caches), tracks and a gated road. Some of the walk is in a conservation area where ground nesting birds are evident. Please keep any dogs on leads and take extra care during the nesting season. (Motor cycles are also prohibited.)
It can be very muddy through the wood between caches nine and ten so wear appropriate footwear if it has been raining.
There are 14 traditional caches in the series and a mixture of container types, some with swaps which may keep children interested. Not all caches have a pen/pencil, so please remember your own.
The cache is a medium sized clip lock box in a camouflage bag containing a log book and a selection of items to swap. There is plenty of room for TBs and geocoins.
