Geocache Description:

A bison tube park and grab beside an old warehouse. Recommended for daytime only. Due to the neighborhood, the hint gives the explicit location of the cache. Park on the street, not in the drive.

Congratulation to e44ever for being FTF.

Built no later than 1930, but perhaps earlier, this old warehouse has markings indicating that it once served the home furnishings business. In the days before the interstate system, most merchandise that traveled significant distances did so by train and this three story warehouse was built to receive cargo from trains. The south side once had a siding with openings spaced to receive box cars, which no doubt came with great frequency. The north side has truck loading areas for shipment of goods to stores or customers.

But times have changed and the openings are bricked up and their doors are falling off, the loading dock is gated and most of the windows have been broken. But it is still a handsome old place, just waiting for someone to convert it into lofts.

If you know anything more about the history of this location, please post it in the logs.

If you like logging benchmarks, AW0207 is on the side of the building, just around the corner
