Geocache Description:

Number 2 of a series of caches that take you on a circular tour of the Harelaw Dam. The whole series takes about 2 hours and walking boots are recommended.

Harelaw Dam was constructed in 1844. It is a large shallow reservoir (average depth 7 feet and maximum 13 feet) extending to 102 acres and has over 3 miles of shoreline. There are 4 dams and three islands.


This second cache is a situated near to the Harelaw Trout Fishery. As well as Trout, there are also Perch, Pike, Eels and Roach for those that fancy their luck!
