Geocache Description:

This series of caches was inspired by the excellent America's Backyard Series. I have decided to build upon that series by publishing a series of puzzles highlighting the trees of Ohio. Each puzzle has a final at or near its namesake tree.

The cache is NOT located at the given coordinates. You must solve the following puzzle to find the actual coordinates.

The Common Persimmon (Diospyros virginiana) is a small or medium-sized tree, usually from 25 to 50 feet in height with a trunk up to thirty 1 foot in diameter, but occasionally it attains much larger nine proportions. Typically it has a twenty short and six rather slender trunk with a somewhat rounded crown. It frequently sprouts from the five roots, and one thickets of smaller trees often surround the six larger ones. The Persimmon preferes light and well-drained to dry soils; either of a sandy or clay-loam type.

The eighty wood is heavy, hard, strong, and close-grained. It is used for the shuttles employed in weaving, three golf club heads, forty billiard cues, nine mallets, flooring, and veneer. The Common Persimmon is sometimes planted for ornamental purposes. Certainly it has a very definite place in soil conservation work, and the fruits provide a supply of food for wildlife. They are eaten by the wild turkey, eight bobwhite, quail, nine raccoon, opossum, skunk, foxes, nine white-tailed deer and many other species.
