A farming area on the coast with great views. There is a museum formerly call the "John Nicolson" but is now the "Viking Centre". Drive down the road marked 'Auckengill Broch' and park in car parking area at the bottom. Take the footpath all the way along to your right.
Another Coastal Cache this time taking in the views of the coast from Auckengill. The path takes you to the Auckengill Broch still watching over the Pentland Firth after all the centuries. The Broch belongs to a period much earlier than the vikings. You will also see some very ancient but outstanding statues along the path and at the site near to the broch. ***** congrats to rona23 on FTF ***** The cache is a Klip and Lok box in a camo bag. It's contents include a pen and notebook FTF Keyring! Belt Clip Moonstone Fluffy Pen Turtle Eraser Highlighter Snooker Ball Keyring.
