Geocache Description:

One of 16 caches placed around the Black Horse Lake. There are several existing caches on this ring that you pass by.

Total walk is about 6 km or nearly 4 miles , there are several stiles and gates ..... can be very muddy in places

as always with small cachers ... there is deep fast running water nearby so please keep a eye on them and the geo dogs.

There was a bridge when the gravel from Haversham was being excavated but only the old buttresses remain (the Village is understandably keen to maintain a ‘moat’ between them and Milton Keynes...)
The contemporary bridge ruins though do indicate the location of the Romano-British settlement and wharf which lay right here on the bank.
The cache is placed close to the old bridge, but is one of the only things now ablle to make the crossing

This area is mainly grassland & trees alongside the river.
Waterproof footwear may be needed after rain
You may reach this with an all terrain buggy, a wheelchair would probably struggle to reach GZ
You are looking for a small camouflaged container, Please treat it with care! & replace as found.
