Geocache Description:

One of a series from Nibbin and the Rascal our 9 year old - based upon a splendid walking/cycling route from our home. The series is NIbbin's NO Thorns or Ivy (NINOTORI).

The walk/ride starts on a bridle way in North Abingdon where we live - parking can be found in nearby South Avenue - although by this cache you are out of town and may want to park at say the nearby Tilsey park sports centre – care car park is not 24hour or in Suningwell. This bridle way once lead from the edge of the town into the countryside around - it now passes a large housing estate and in places still retains the signs of the old hedgerow that marked the route. We nearly ‘dtiched’ our plans for this cache mosstly (sic) because we couldn’t find a cranny – then we did! Do take care there is a hole in the ground near GZ. No hints are offered - but I will give one if too many people fail to find it. All our caches are pain free - we cannot bear scrabbling through countless ivy bushes/trees - or getting stung, scratched or torn to shreds for pleasure thus no thorns or ivy (NINOTORI) – enjoy – in particular in daylight the skylarks .
Do look South from here – the view is fine.
If you want a circular walk from Abingdon – continue away from town and at the road turn left into Sunningwell and at Beaulieu Court Framhouse, turn left along footpath (not into the close) and walk back towards nonotori 4 and back to Abingdon. Close to this turn is a good pub for food and refreshment.
We are building this into a series a circular walk/ride
