Geocache Description:

Art in public places.

Gisborne's Art in Public Places Trust - Toi Whanui Tairāwhiti was established in February 1999. Art in Public Places (AIPP) vision is to see Tairāwhiti as a centre of excellence for public art in Aotearoa, New Zealand. With Tairāwhiti's natural and built environment enhanced with relevant and interesting visual art works. The group's mission is for art to become a greater part of our community's everyday lives. AIPPs role is to encourage awareness of public art in our community, choose art pieces for public display and facilitate the installation of art pieces in cooperation with the Gisborne District Council.

The Cache:

Eclipse Mints metal tin camouflaged in black tape. Container not waterproof but used write-in-the-wet log book. Only contains its log book so you will need to bring your own pen. Due to such a high muggle area I do not advise that you leave valuable geocoins etc. With such a small log,it would be helpful and appreciated if you note in your online log if it is getting too full. Please replace the cache in exactly the same position thank you.

The cache is well camouflaged and in an extremely high muggle area that can be observed from many view points in this area. The difficulty of this geocache is not so much locating the cache, but actually retrieving it without being seen. You will need to employ all of your stealthy tricks to successfully log this one!

The Terrain Rating:

The cache is located in the city so is wheelchair accessible, so this geocache can be enjoyed by all. The location is near a busy road so young children will need to be supervised.
