Geocache Description:

Shhh... Curly Girls are not far away from 2K. Here's a little tribute for that milestone, on a familiar stretch of the Wiouwash with the sweetest woods along the entire trail. While placing this cache, trilliums were in bloom along the higher ground on one side of the trail, and on the wetter side the marsh marigolds were in full display. On one visit a pileated woodpecker sailed quietly across the trail in front of me, a rare treat indeed.

"Wetter and Wilder" might be a good alternate name for this hide with a meandering stream and wetlands to the west, and the high ground and hilly terrain to the east, but it's the woods along this stretch of the Wiouwash that make it special. The mature trees arching overhead keep it cooler here in the summer, and in the fall when wintry winds begin to blow, the shelter of the of the woods take the bite off and reduce the roar to a whisper.

The tributee can revist these old stomping grounds to make this find before the upcoming 2K milestone, as an encore, or just for fun along the way, so let her decide the timing for her FTF.

Wiouwash Whisper is a three stage multi, with a "glittering" ammo can final. It is wetter and wilder than "Wet and Wild" at this point, but it can be done without boots during the day if your balance is good. At night it could be even easier.

Oh yes, the night part*. Starting near the given coordinates, scattered "fireflies" light the trail above and along-side for a night cache option. From where they end at an overhead reflector about twelve feet up, go about thirty-five feet or so east to make the find. Same hint as for the final. Enjoy the fun reflector positions if you choose the night walk.

*As of July, 2017, the night cache has not been checked for over a year and ends in an area of fast growing smaller trees and shrubs, so be prepared to do the multi wps as a back-up if you choose to take your chances on the tunnel of lights.

Congratulations on the second K, Lisa, and thanks for being the first to bring me to this serene and memorable part of the trail.
