Geocache Description:

This cache is located at an overlook that gives a great view of the Gravel Lick Area of the Clarion River. The overlook is named after long time Clarion Chapter President Ed Scurry who is one of the people responsible for the development of the trail through Clarion County.
Parking is available at the Gravel Lick Trail Head at N 41° 19.204 W 079° 14.703.

This cache is part of the Clarion North Country Trail GeoTrail (CNCTGT).

This geotrail consists of 20 geocaches hidden along the portion of the North Country National Scenic Trail that was built and is maintained by the Clarion Chapter of the North Country Trail Association. The Clarion Chapter also has set up this geotrail to introduce more people to our trail.

Here’s how it works.

Download the geotrail passport here.

The passport has 20 spaces in which to write a keyword that is contained in each geocache. The 20 geocaches in this geotrail are .30 caliber ammo cans. When you open the geocache, the codeword for the geocache will be written on the lid of the ammo can. Record this code word on your passport.

When you have found all 20 of the CNCTGT geocaches and have the corresponding code words written on the passport, if you wish, follow the instructions on the passport to receive a trackable geocoin commemorating the geotrail.

Thank you and we hope you enjoy the geotrail and our section of the North Country National Scenic Trail.
