Back then, the event was called the Central Illinois Geocachers Gathering. From a small group of caching pioneers, the club has grown a lot. In recognition of how far we have come in ten years, here are pictures from last year and, further below, 2002.

Location: Moose Shelter, Detweiller Park, north of Peoria
Directions: Enter the main park entrance off Highway 29. At the first stop sign, take the park road south along the soccer fields. Turn left onto the dead end road to Moose Shelter. Park near the shelter.
Bring a side dish: CIGA will provide chicken breasts, brats, hot dogs and buns. Everyone, bring a side dish to share, and bring your own drinks.
To help us with the ordering, when you post your log, please indicate your count and preference for chicken breasts, brats and/or hot dogs.
Activities: New this year: play Clue. Find the temporary caches to play a version of the popular board game. Solve the mystery and qualify for a drawing for prizes.
Also this year, we will do a variation of find the pin. We will show you the pin. Enter the coordinates for a chance for a prize.
The shelter has electricity. Restrooms and a playground are nearby.
