LCPAPT - The North END Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

GeoCGS: We've moved out-of-state, and it seems that the people who said that they could make "some effort" for maintenance, etc. on our Polly Ann Trail caches don't really have the time or interest in doing maintenance. So, ..... ARCHIVE!

Geocache Description:

You're looking for a micro sized container, with log only. Please be careful when searching near water. Area is slippery during wet or icy times. You must sign the physical log before logging on-line.

Welcome to Lapeer County's Polly Ann Power Trail. The cache names have no significance on the cache placement or container. They are named after some of the lakes in Lapeer County. These caches are placed with permission from the Polly Ann Trail Management Council. Most of the caches are placed within a few feet of the trail and should require no bushwhacking unless noted. Please use care to leave as little impact on the vegetation as is possible. The trail is open from dawn to dusk year round. Search only during open hours.

TRAIL DESCRIPTION:
The Polly Ann Trail corridor in Lapeer County, from Bordman Road North to Kings Mill, may be used by anyone abiding by the rules of the corridor. The rules are that no motorized vehicles (including snowmobiles) may be used on the trail, and no hunting is allowed on the trail. The trail is clear and maintained in Dryden Township and Dryden Village, though it is unimproved and may be rough and wet in spots. There are no bathroom facilities on the trail in Dryden. In Leonard there is a porta-john for trail users, along with a large area for parking. Please obey local ordinances and do not park on private property. Please be courteous to your fellow users and adjacent property owners.

The Lapeer County section of the Polly Ann Trail is a 20-mile former rail corridor, and runs from Bordman Road North through Dryden Village, Imlay City, Lum, and on to Kings Mill. For reference, the trail length from Leonard to Dryden Village is approximately 6 miles. The Polly Ann Trail has been open for public use in Dryden Township and Dryden Village since 2000.
