Magnificent 480 acre park with 60 developed acres. There's a little something here for everybody. Park amenities include: restrooms, gazebo shelter, picnic areas, tennis and volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, children's playground, dog park, horse arena , biking, and equestrian trails. Hiking areas are painted by the prominent orange and yellow rocks of the Virginia Range which are hydrothermally altered volcanic rocks, formed from ancient hot springs. Directions: Park is located in East Reno, between Hidden Valley Neighborhood and the Virginia Range. It is easily accessed from McCarran Blvd., by turning east onto Pembroke Drive. Drive past the golf course and take a right on Parkway Drive. Many places to park.
