Geocache Description:

A WDFW property so a Discover Pass is required and is only accessible during daylight hours. This cache was not placed to be difficult or to cause any impact to the environment, since the land past the gate is banned to public use according to WDFW's website. The sole purpose is to introduce everyone to a new area of the Skagit River.

This is is well known local fishing area where the following types of fish may be seen or caught: Flounder, Starry, Perch, Shiner, Salmon: Chinook, Chum, Coho, Pink, Sockeye, Steelhead; Summer-Run, Winter-Run, Sturgeon, White, Suckerfish, Trout; Bull Trout (char), Cutthroat Coastal Resident, Cutthroat Coastal Searun, Dolly Varden (char), Rainbow, Whitefish; Mountain.
