Columbian King Traditional Cache

This cache will lead you to the back corner of the parking lot behind the Columbia Plaza building.  It's a family friendly cache. However, this area is crawling with muggles at all times and stealth is a requirement.  I suggest not coming here in a large group.

This should be a fairly easy find.  The reason for the D3 is due to the muggle factor.  Again, please use stealth.

Back in the 60's and 70's, Elvis "The King" Presley would come to Kalamazoo to visit the Gibson Guitar factory.  He stayed at (what was then) the Columbia Hotel, since it was a short walking-distance from the Gibson factory (now belonging to Heritage Guitars).

During the 80's, the decrepit building was renovated and became the Columbia Plaza office building.  However, the room that Elvis stayed in, Suite 201, was left nearly empty as a sort of shrine.  For quite some time, Suite 201 had a stylized decal of "The King" on the door, a life-size cut-out of Elvis in his shiny gold suit and various framed pictures of Elvis throughout the room.  Even the tenant marquee in the lobby read "Suite 201: Elvis". 

Even though the room now stands empty, some say that you can still feel his presence here and if you happen to be in the building after hours, you can still here him singing softly.  "Love me tender, love me sweet.  Never let me go..."

There is metered parking on the street near the cache.  Considering the short amount of time you'll likely spend here, you may not need to feed the meter.
