The lake-project. The project itself has cost about 70 million kroner where about half of it was paid by the tax-payers through support from the state, the county of Nothern Jutland and EU-means. The big single-donation came from foundations of Aage V. Jensen who put in about 30 million kroner. The foundations bought the areas with the lake and the surrounding meadows of about 860 hectare, and the right to use was given to the public, who since then have using them. Besides that, the foundations have paid for bird-towers, electrically driven boats for the mentally deficient and more facilities. Besides the 860 hectare, there's also 70 hectare privately owned divided between 10 lots to make it all even. Lot-owners who gave up land to the project, were able to get replacement-land, often with better location than previous.
