Cmentarz wojenny nr 384.

W pobliżu Sanktuarium Bożego miłosierdzia w Łagiewnikach znajduje się austriacki cmentarz wojenny z okresu I wojny światowej. Lokalizacja tego miejsca ma ścisły związek ze znajdującym się nieopodal klasztorem Sióstr Matki Bożej Miłosierdzia. Sam klasztor powstał w 1889 roku, zaś w okresie od sierpnia 1914 do grudnia 1918 roku znajdował się w jego budynkach gospodarczych – wojskowy szpital epidemiologiczny. To właśnie tutaj (ok. 200 m od szpitala) chowano zmarłych w szpitalu żołnierzy. Pochowano tu łącznie 266 osób wywodzących się z piętnastu różnych narodowości (m. in. Polaków, Węgrów, Niemców, Chorwatów a nawet Estończyków). Cmentarz ten zaprojektował Hans Mayr. Z oryginalnego wyglądu cmentarza zachowała się jedynie brama wejściowa. Pola grobowe zostały celowo splantowane. Stojący na cmentarzu pomnik jest współczesny, podobnie jak krzyż, który wykonano według planów Hansa Mayra.

I WW Military Cemetery No. 384.

Close to the the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki one can find an Austrian military cemetery from World War I. The location of this place has a close relationship with a nearby monastery of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy. The monastery was founded in 1889. In the period from August 1914 to December 1918 a military epidemiological hospital was placed in monastery’s outbuildings. It is here (about 200 m from the hospital), where soldiers who died in the hospital were buried - 266 people from fifteen different nations (among others. Poles, Hungarians, Germans, Croats, and even Estonians). This cemetery was designed by Hans Mayr. Only the gate is preserved from the original appearance of the cemetery. The graves were deliberately leveled. The monument standing in the cemetery is contemporary , as well as the cross, which was made according to plans by Hans Mayr.
