What is a "Flash Mob" Event?
A "Flash Mob" is a Gathering of Geocachers, Lasting only 15 minutes! Cachers arrive at a predetermined location at exactly a predetermined time and perform an activity (Usually Something Silly) then disperse after 15 Minutes.

Our WWFM event will begin precisely at 10:00am on June 9th, 2012. This is an inside, open public space. The schedule will be posted on here as well as at the event.
The Flash Mob is happening this year at Mall 205 in SE Portland. The coordinates listed are for the parking lot. We will meet inside the mall by the Target entrance. There is a triangular planter with benches all around it right in front of the inside entrance.
A few minutes before 10:00am start nonchalantly moving towards Ground Zero, but be in stealth mode & stay at least 100 feet away. Think Muggle. Find the persons passing out strips of paper. You must sign these w/ your geocaching name in order to be logged in for the event.
10:00am EXACTLY (as determined by the GPS clock)a whistle will blow & there will be a bucket placed on the benches. It will be a LOUD, FUN color, you won't be able to miss it.
10:00 - 10:05 Drop your slip of paper in the bucket and shake hands with your fellow geocachers.
10:05-10:09 we will do something fun. Is it blowing bubbles? Could be! Is it the Macarena? Could be! Is it the Hokey Pokey again? Come to find out!

10:15 Bucket goes bye-bye & we all scatter like little animals. We want the area to be completely vacated, empty, lonely, like we were never there. This is important.
Only those participants whose names appear on the log sheets (in the bucket) may log the event.
Get the word out to as many people as you can! Let's swarm little Mall 205 & make people wonder "What did I just see?" It could be a great opportunity to explain geocaching to some unsuspecting Muggles.
