This cache is placed at the site of the Rosebery Hotel Dunny which was open from the 1870's to 1968.
You are looking for a small plastic container with a log book and pencil and a few small swaps.
PLEASE TAKE CARE IF PARKING ON THE ROAD SIDE
Rosebery is a small town on the Henty Highway, which now has only a couple of houses left.
The pub closed down in 1968 after nearly 100 years of business and was unfortunately later demolished.
A few bits of rubble including a small section of the HOTEL DUNNY are still laying about this site.
The first Post Office in Rosebery was actually situated at the Hotel but later transferred across the road to the Railway Station.
There are several other points of history in this small railway siding township, so please take time to read the many signposts that someone in the community has taken time to erect.
Nearby is the MALLEE SUNSETS GALLERY CAFE which has light lunches, drinks and snacks are for sale is housed in an old white timber church right on the Henty Highway. It is a quaint spot complete with an outhouse at the back.
Outside, some tables are set up in the garden, and indoors, an array of knick-knacks, framed cross-stitching, stunning photography and jewellery is for sale and wedding photos (from all the nuptials that took place in the building's former incarnation as a church) are on display
