A short hike near what was once a campground.
The cache is a camouflaged tin canister. The site was once a roadside campground located in the D.A.R. Memorial state forest. D.A.R. is the Daughters of the American Revolution society, which reforested this plot in 1940.
This state forest has no designated trail system within its boundaries, visitors are welcome to explore its beauty for the day and stay at Banning State Park or at Nemadji or General Andrews State Forests for the night. Please remember to tread lightly.
