The title "I feel the need ... the need for speed" is a quote from one of my all time favourite movies featuring F-14 Tomcats and F-5 Freedom Fighters (the latter starring as MIG-28s in the movie) - you probably guessed the title already.
This series of caches is a tribute to all the airports around the world.

FLESLAND AIRPORT
Bergen Airport Flesland is Norways second largest airport after Oslo Gardermoen. Every year more than 5.5 mio people passes through the airport.
The name Flesland was the name of the local farm lying here. The farm was expropriated and on it's grounds the airport was built and later inaugurated back in 1955.
Plans for the future includes upgrading the international terminal as well as a new runway.
The single runway 17/35 (south/north) is 2990 meters long
and equipped with ILS CAT I capability in both directions.
Right beside the new terminal lies the old one. This terminal has been converted to helicopter terminal with 9 helicopter stands, 6 of which are outside the terminal building.
