Trofton Park was renamed Elaine Hamilton Park (misspelled Hamiton on Google Maps) as a tribute to the tireless volunteer with the Nanaimo Parks and Rec. It is basically a soccer pitch with a few amenities. Ironiclally Elaine Hamilton of Glasgow, Scotland is an executive with the Celtic Football (soccer) Federation.
Watch for signs on Extension Road for entry to park. There is an extensive trail system starting here. Great dog walking, birdwatching etc. Cache is a camo'ed lock 'n lock located on a trail adjacent to the parking lot.
FTF gets the glory, 2nd and 3rd TF get the scratch 'n wins. Good caching. - Congrats to JoPo2010 for FTF
