Geocache Description:

McGinty was the family Irish Red Setter who was walked on The Green in Budleigh every day of his life who recently passed away due to old age. We had him as a puppy, my Mum, Dad and I all paying a third towards him. He naturally picked us, because as soon as we walked into the room he was the only one of the litter to get up and run over to the edge of his cage to see who these new people were. He had a pedigree, and because he was yet to be named we chose his proper name McGinty. (Paddy McGinty's Goat!)

He was preceded by Fergus and Rusty also both Red Setters, both of which lived to an old age, but as with many Red Setters their back legs begin to fail. From the pedigrees we can see that all three of these dogs can be traced back to the same bloodline. You could see this in their features and temperament.

Mum and Dad were not going to rush into getting another Red Setter, however an opportunity came up and Bodhran (An Irish frame drum) came into the family almost a year ago.

Our Red Setters have all been well known in Budleigh so say hello to Bodhran if you see him out and about.

This cache is hidden on "The Green" by an area known as the "Crows Nest"

Update 2nd August 2017 - additional camo bison put in place as the proper cache does not have space for the expected Devon Mega. I cant keep replacing logs ! However I couldnt actually find the original cache so if anyone sees it, please attach it to the temporary bison. It was raining so I couldnt stay and have a proper look for my own cache !
