Great hike up on the Pleasanton Ridge. One of my favorite places.
Just down the road is the ranger residence and as you extend you hike around the corner is what is left of a building. I always wondered what it was for, built over a ravine and creek. Bonus if you are knowledgeable about it. When I first started hiking up here it was still standing. You're looking for a smaller than a film canister on the side of the trail/road. This road is still used by residents, but I prefer to hike.
