Cache is a small camouflaged cylinder pot, placed about 1.5m above ground level. Cache contains log & pencil & a FTF certificate. Unfortunately, this one may be difficult to wheelchair cachers, as it is situated just off the path & the ground slopes slightly... This area is likely to be Muggle Central at times, as it is a path used by schoolchildren... Please use stealth when retrieving and replacing this cache.
Rye is a small town in East Sussex, England, which stands approximately two miles from the open sea and is at the confluence of three rivers: the Rother, the Tillingham and the Brede. Unusually the Tillingham flows from west to east. It meets the eastern River Rother near the town of Rye. If the sluice gates towards the tidal section are closed (as is usually the case), there is no current Roach, Rudd, Dace, Chub, Perch, Tench, Bream and Pike are all found in the River Tillingham. Also found is Man-eating blanket weed...! A pleasant stroll can be had following the public footpath from the bridge off Ferry Road (B2089), Rye. (small style to cross)... or follwing the footpath to your right, just past the railway level crossing, as you head away from the town.... **Care should be taken if you have small children with you, unfenced river nearby....** Cache is only a couple of metres from path, no need to venture any further... ** AS PER GEOCACHING RULES YOU CAN ONLY CLAIM A FIND IF YOU SIGN THE LOG SHEET **
