The cache is placed a short distance up from the track. Please replace hidden as found!
Please be especially careful where you walk so as not to disturb the fauna or flora of this wonderful woodland.
This series brings you to this beautiful broadleaved woodland area to enjoy a peaceful and tranquil walk. The walk itself is not particularly demanding or difficult, there are a few gentle inclines along the way.
The path is narrow in places, with slippery wet roots and rocks. There are streams and wet muddy areas to cross too. As always when walking in the countryside, ensure that you are equipped with proper clothing and footwear.
Please follow the advice of the Elan valley ranger safety information: • Make sure you are suitably equipped for changes in the weather • Be aware you may encounter rough and uneven terrain • Don’t rely on mobile phones as the signal is very poor if any at all! • Always tell someone where you are going and what time you expect to return.
Please note: The Penbont House Tea Room and Bed & Breakfast has seasonal opening times - please see the Elan Valley website for details.
We would like to give grateful thanks to the Elan Valley Trust and Dwr Cymru Welsh Water for their kind permission to allow us to place this series of caches on their land.
Please see www.elanvalley.org.uk for further information about the Elan Valley and events held during the year.
