I am often struck by the various numbers on Utility poles all across NJ. I was interested to see if I could use the numbers on the poles as a Clue in a mystery cache
While excited to find through web research that indeed some poles numbers can act as a co-ordinate system (as described here for Hydro Poles) I sadly could not work out the scheme in NJ, so reverting to using the pole co-ordinates in a Soduku puzzle instead. :-(
The Challenge
The co-ordinates of the cache will place you in front of a Utility Pole.
Take the numbers on the Pole which would be behind the letters in the Photo Below
and Insert them into the corresponding letter slots in the Soduku grid below.
Having solved the Soduku (Its Hard), take the 5 numbers in the highlighted squares (in the order given by the co-ordinates) to get the final stage.
Getting Groovy - another solution
A second passion of mine is software programming, and in particular a language called 'Groovy' which seems appropriate to use in 'Grove' park
