Geocache Description:

Taylorsville Lake State Park encompasses 1,200-acre of some of the most beautiful horse riding country. It boasts 45 spacious RV sites with electric & water hook-ups, 10 equestrian sites with electric & water hook-ups, & 15 primitive tent sites with water available. Two playgrounds conveniently located for children & two bathhouses with laundry facilities in each. A centrally located dump station is available for RV use. Reservations are permitted but are not necessary.

Taylorsville Lake State Park currently has approximately 24 miles of hiking trails that range from moderate to strenuous. Caches are hidden on trails, and require NO bush-wacking per State Park Regulations. Most trails do allow horseback riding, but may be closed to horseback riding due to muddy or other conditions. Posted signs that state TRAILS CLOSED refer specifically to horseback riding and NOT hiking. Trail maps are available at park office. Ample parking is available near all trailheads.

All cache hides in Taylorsville Lake State Park require a permit BEFORE placement. The contact for obtaining a permit is Lisa Deavers at the Kentucky Dept. of Parks who may be reached at (502) 564-4940 extension 246 or at lisa.deavers@ky.gov. The KY Dept. of Parks are now urging cache placement in all state parks under the same processes.

This cache contains log only and is a preform tube
