Pirates Treasure 4.

KÖYCEĞİZ - TÜRKİYE A small market town in the south-west corner of Turkey. Köyceğiz sits on the northern shore of a huge, freshwater lake among olive and orange groves, beehives and cotton fields. A quiet Turkish Town rather than swinging, international resort, Köyceğiz's greatest assets are its natural beauty and wildlife. These centre around the lake, Köyceğiz Gölü, the Dalyan River and the Mediterranean and a wide, sandy turtle beach. The surrounding area, meanwhile, offers plenty in the way of history, stunning landspace, active and less active pursuits. There are the thermal springs at Sultaniye a boat ride across the lake; mudbaths, lycian rock tombs and the ancient Carian city of Caunos further down-channel, and an impressive range of mountains to explore behind the town.
