Geocache Description:

Another cache on an infrequently used trail to the back door of the new Westlake Village Community Park and YMCA

Cache is a camo'd 11 oz. Coffee-mate container, hidden off the trail. FTF prize is a WheresGeorge dollar and a GPS trackable to move along.

This trail, according to the map, gets you to the back of the property where the Westlake Village Community Park and YMCA are being constructed. Phase 1, site preparation, is just about finished. Click here for more info. A conceptual sketch of the facility is shown below. Note the regional trail connection on the left hand side of the drawing.

The trail rises from Canyon Oaks park (refer to Only Laurel Sumac around for trail head information) - the initial climb is about 450 feet in about 1/2 mile - a good workout
