This is on one of the National Trust estate woodland trails at Brockhampton nr Bromyard. One of 4 caches placed for The National trust Brockhampton's Geocaching weekend on May 26th and 27th 2012. Print out this cache listing to get free entry onto the estate (visitor car park charge still applies as does admission charge for Lower Brockhampton).
The cache is a clip lock box. For May 26th and 27th 2012 the box will contain some information about bugs and a quiz question. Take the answer to the Geocaching stand by the tearoom for a small prize! After the weeekend, the box will contain the usual swaps.
At Brockhampton there are miles of walks through the park and woodland, featuring ancient trees, the picturesque Lawn Pool, and various sculptures depicting parts of the history of Brockhampton and the local area. Some of the paths are steep and can be muddy!
It is home to a rich variety of wildlife, along with historic farming breeds such as Hereford cattle and Ryeland sheep.
Bring a picnic and you can stay all day.
You can park in the National Trust visitors car park,( SO 68420 54948) where there is a pay & display machine and admission charges apply. At the car park, there is a map showing the waymarked walks.
