A Szovjet-Magyar barátság reprezentálására állított emlékmű.
The 7 meters high stone obelisk originally stood near the Thuri György Castle in Várpalota. Many years later moved to the present location.
The obelisk made by Abonyi Gratner Jenő in 1956. The statue made for representing the friendship and co-operation of the soviet and hungarian people.
On the obelisk we see the old industrial face of Várpalota - mining, chemistry and probing.
The cache is a small 35mm film canister with only a logbook. (No pen or pencil in the cache)
1956-ban, eredetileg a várpalotai Thuri vár mellé állított obeliszk a szovjet-magyar barátságot szimbolizálta. Jelenlegi helye a "8"-as főút Székesfehérvár felől Várpalotára bevezető elágazásánál található.
Az obeliszken Várpalotát meghatározó tevékenységekkel találkozunk, mint bányászat, vegyipar.
A szobor közel 7 méteres, Abonyi Gratner Jenő alkotása.
A láda egy kisméretű filmesdoboz, csak logbook van benne. (Sem ceruza sem toll nincs a ládában.)
