all4familycaching: I have confirmed that this cache is indeed missing. And since our family doesn’t geocache anymore and it’s tough for us to get out to maintain what we have left we will be archiving this one along with what ones we do have left in the area.

Geocache Description:

This cache is replacing a recently archived cache that was nearby (Still Standing) due to it's hiding spot being destroyed by myself to save some kittens that were placed there to die.

We had recieved an email concerning kittens being seen near our Still Standing cache. We went and checked up on this and found that yes there were in fact 2 baby kittens there. Actually, they were inside the tree stump where the cache was hidden. We realized that there was no way a pregnant cat would climb up and in a 6' tree stump and have her babies in a hole that is only 10" in diameter. The stump hole was just big enough for the 2 kittens. So we came to the conclusion that someone probably didn't want them and placed them in the stump to die. So we decided to rescue them. But that meant that I would have to rip the tree stump apart, which I did. So we got these 2 kittens out and took them home. We were going to keep them for a week and see how they do and then give them to the animal shelter. But these cute little bundles of joy and furriness has grown on us and it looks like we will be keeping them as part of our family.

This area does have some terrain issues, a steep hill to slide down, and some poison ivy along the bottom of the hill/path.

You are looking for a matchstick container and try to be gentle when retreiving the cache as to not to destroy it's natural hiding spot. And bring a pen.
